Who we are
Taskedwright (taskedwright.com) is responsible for the personal data described here. Write to hello@taskedwright.com with any question about it.
What we collect
Account details: your name, email address, a hashed password, your company name (companies) or provider profile (providers), and your email preferences.
What you create: task descriptions (including the original wording you typed before the brief writer drafted the brief), briefs, proposals, messages, files you attach, reviews and reports, and any email you send to us.
Technical data: your IP address, used to limit abuse (for example, how many free briefs a visitor can write per day), and anonymous page-view statistics. Our hosting provider also keeps short-lived request logs.
How we use it
To run the marketplace: showing tasks and profiles, routing new tasks to providers in the matching category, delivering messages, and sending the emails you've chosen to receive. To keep it safe: confirming email addresses, limiting abuse and reviewing reports. We don't sell personal data and we don't use it for advertising.
Where the law asks for a reason: running your account and the marketplace is necessary to provide the service you signed up for; security, abuse prevention and account emails rely on our legitimate interest in a safe, working service. Notification emails are optional and can be switched off in your profile.
Who can see what
Published tasks, provider profiles and reviews are public. Your original task description stays private to you. A proposal and its conversation are visible only to the company and that provider (and to our admins when investigating a report). Files you attach are stored at long, unguessable addresses, but anyone given a file's link can open it, so don't attach anything that must stay secret.
Services that process data for us
Vercel (hosting, file storage and anonymous analytics), Neon (our database), Resend (sending email, and receiving email sent to our addresses), and Anthropic (the AI model behind the brief writer: the task description you type is sent to Anthropic to draft the brief). When payments launch, Stripe will process payment details; we never see or store card numbers.
These services, and our data, are in the United States. If you use Taskedwright from elsewhere, your data is transferred to and processed in the US.
Cookies and storage
We only use essential cookies, set when you sign in: one keeps you signed in, and the others protect the sign-in form. Your unpublished task draft is saved in your own browser's local storage until you publish it. Our analytics don't use cookies and don't follow you across other sites.
Keeping it safe
Passwords are stored only as bcrypt hashes. Email confirmation and password reset links work once, expire, and are stored only as hashes. Everything travels over HTTPS.
Keeping and deleting data
We keep your data while your account exists. You can change your details or delete your account at any time in Account settings; deleting it permanently removes your account and the tasks, proposals, messages, files and reviews it owns.
Some things are kept for shorter or longer: IP addresses used for abuse limits are stored only as a one-way hash and deleted within a day of the limit window ending. Reports you filed are kept without your name after you delete your account, so moderation decisions stay on record. Our database provider keeps rolling backups for a short period, after which deleted data is gone from those too.
Children
Taskedwright isn't for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Your rights and contact
You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, deletion, or that we stop or limit a particular use of it. Write to hello@taskedwright.com and we'll answer within a month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live. If we change this policy, we'll update the date below.
